Here's a thought. Security concerns might keep either the cruise lines or our government from wanting anyone to know the exact location of any cruise ship. I've done a lot of cruising and security seems to be a high priority which is good. Also my full time job involves international cargo logistics and believe me we can't even discuss the security issues we use with our best customers.

This will allow you to control zoom and tilt with the normal Google Earth controls while GooPs will maintain the view center and rotation aligned with your boat motion.

We changed the way we draw the polygons with update v2.14.

Robert,
EarthNC Plus, our DVD vector chart product, includes all of the offshore charts (including depths, platforms, underwater pipelines, etc.) - coastal, general, and overview scales. As you noticed, these areas are not covered in the online free data which only show approach and harbor chart scales.

I am interested in planning trips offshore in the Gulf of Mexico between Corpus Cristi and Venice Louisiana. Looking at the free chart, I see no detail for offshore structure including oil platforms. Do he upgraded versions have this data, and do they have depth data for the offshore areas (25-200miles off), and not just the approaches, which appear to be listed? If so, which product, or bundle should I get. I'll only be using it at my desk in my office to plan, and not on my boat, where I'll use my garmin.

I don't have a Nuvi so I'm not sure if they support an 'erase all' method.

On the GPSMAP Garmin series, if you recopy a waypoint with the exact same name as one in memory, it will overwrite the old one. This allowed for fairly easy updates.

You could try this with a couple of waypoint in Google Earth to see what the Nuvi does.

Thanks for helping.
However, I'm not sure to understand well. I have a Garmin Nüvi 250W. I don't find where to "push menu twice". Maybe then it depends on the version of Garmin unit.
The waypoints that I have transferred with TakItWithMe have all been placed in my "favorites", and their corresponding names well appear on the map.
I haven't found a way to delete waypoints, except one at the time.

My other question is also, if I update either a "Mymaps" set of waypoints or a "Google Earth" set of waypoints, will this update the set of waypoints already put on my GPS, that is add the new waypoints to the existing set, or will it put a second copy of each waypoint already on my GPS? I haven't dared experimenting it, due to the fact that, in any event, I would have to erase all waypoint one by one!...

You can delete routes from the Garmin Route menu (push menu twice and the select routes on many Garmin units).

Waypoints can be deleted from your waypoint menu in the same way.

Both menus should also give you an option to delete all routes if desired.
