In the main GooPs menu (the small purple box), unpress the 'zoom' button (and tilt if preferred also). This will allow you to control zoom and tilt with the normal Google Earth controls while GooPs will maintain the view center and rotation aligned with your boat motion.

We changed the way we draw the polygons with update v2.14.

Is it possible to disable the google earth warnings that you are offline and can only use cache? It is annoying to have google earth search for an internet connection, tell you it isn't available, and ask if you want to perform tests for connections.

You're welcome.

For those looking to purchase EarthNC Plus, there are a couple of ways to quickly determine availability of Vector (Plus) coverage in your areas of interest:
1. EarthNC Online - if you zoom into your area of interest and see our basic chart data (buoys, markers, lights, etc.), then these areas are also covered in full detail (depths, wrecks, etc.) in EarthNC Plus.
2. The EarthNC Plus Chartlist is a text-based list of all charts available organized by State (Coastal) or River (Inland). This list includes a cross-reference to NOAA RNC chart numbers for the same areas.

Unfortunately, NOAA has not released a vector ENC chart for this area yet so it is not available via EarthNC Plus. We do have coverage for West Galveston Bay via EarthNC Raster in the Southeast Region DVD.

NOAA is adding 3-6 ENC chart per month which we immediately post to EarthNC Plus in our monthly updates as they become available - so hopefully this area will be released soon.

Hello. I just purchased EarthNC Plus hoping to find a chart of West Galveston Bay. For some reason, all of the surrounding bays (and even lakes), and coast are available but I can't seem to find something for West Galveston Bay. This is a major bay system in TX. I was wondering if there is a way I can get a chart for the area. Thanks in advance.

Here is one easy way to create a custom 'shortcut' for the charts you use most:

1. Create an empty folder in your 'My Places' in the 'Places' menu using the Add->Folder command
2. Open each chart you'd like in your custom shortcut. Once the chart loads, left click and drag the Chart folder in the Places menu into your new folder created in step #1
3. Repeat for each chart you'd like.

The charts in the new folder will now load automatically with Google Earth. You can toggle the visibility of all the charts in the shortcut with the visibility checkbox next to the new folder or selectively turn individual charts on and off by expanding the folder (click on the + sign) and checking/unchecking each individual chart.

The POI link location depends on whether you've loaded the 'Offline' or 'Online' version shortcut.

In the upcoming EarthNC Plus version 2, there will also be a new option for 'seamless' loading of charts which will be automatic based on zoom and location and eliminate the need to individually open each chart.

Right now there are only about 10 charts that I am interested in (Detroit River, Lake St Clair and Lake Huron). But the Chart List for EarthNC contains all the Charts and is time consuming to use. I have figured out the cross ref for a couple charts, ex; Lake St Clair = US4MI31M, UR2722IW70.kml contains QM6721YW88.kmz + LK2819YC15.kmz.
There are a couple issues with this, 1) It is tedious to do this searching and 2) the Points of interest ref points to an Online ref http://earthnc...LK2819YC15.kmz.
What would be helpful is;
1) An easy to use cross ref from the USXMXXXM names to the KML to the KMZs. Then I could purge unnecessary files and selectively load specific charts into GE.
2) If the KML points to the Chart KMZ locally (pc), why does the Points of Ref point to an online KMZ when it actually exists locally. If it doesn't find it online, will it automatically test and load if available locally?
Thanks.

EarthNC charts contain all charted wrecks and obstructions as well as depth contours (which often mark reefs). Whether or not they are visible in the Google Earth imagery depends on the location. Many areas along the Florida coast (including major portions of the keys) have detailed imagery.

Lat/Lon can be obtained for all charted objects and for arbitrary points in Google Earth.

Sean,
The shaded NOAA Bathymetry layer is contained in EarthNC Online which you can reach when logged in.

From the online page, load the EarthNC Online master link in Google Earth. In the 'Charts and Maps' folder EarthNC Online Index in the Places Menu you'll find a checkbox to turn on the Bathymetry. This will load little NOAA icons on the map in regions with the depth images. To load a depth image, click on the NOAA icon and then the View Image link about half-way down the resulting window.

Full depth information is also contained in the EarthNC Plus and EarthNC Raster chart products. You can try an example of a full EarthNC Plus with this link
