Speed up or slow down the panning and set how long to pause at each placemark. To see the info windows with lock pictures at each stop - click on 'Show Balloon When Tour is Pause'. This is a great way to view many Google Earth files.

When you select the MyMaps Link in Virgil's original post , select KML in the upper right corner of the map and then "Open". That will open the file in Google Earth under "My Places" and from there select the Play Tour button for a Google Earth version of the map. Note, the resolution of the underlying terrain is spotty but should still serve the purpose of illustrating GE's immersive qualities.
