San Francisco’s 59 Mile Drive for Your GPS
Aug 11th, 2007 by EarthNC
Google’s official spatial LatLong Blog featured a new Google My Map with a version of the historic 59 Mile Drive for San Francisco. This highlights the power of My Maps to convey user generated content to a wide audience. We also think this is a great map to highlight our TakItWithMe Embedded Map tool (including links to view on a large Google Map or to view in Google Earth) and Google My Maps to GPS conversion. See the 59 Mile Route map below..
The routes in this my map are rather large, so we suggest using the TakItWithMe conversion options to send lines as tracks rather than routes to avoid truncation. Each of the points-of-interest will transfer over as a waypoint.
The Embedded Map tool is free and can be used to easily put a map in your own website or blog. It also supports online display of most KML files and geoRSS feeds.
