Port of Pittsburgh and Three Rivers Points of Interest
Aug 14th, 2007 by EarthNC
The confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny rivers into the Ohio at present-day Pittsburgh is an area rich in North American history and commerce. The rivers continue to serve the as economic highways connecting the mid-west to the Mississippi and on to the Gulf of Mexico and beyond. Adding to the economic value of the waterways is their extensive use for recreation.
If you’re looking to get out on any of the Three Rivers, the Point of Interest Map published by the Port of Pittsburgh, featured below, will help you find a ramp, marina, or other spots to stop.
