Hello. I just purchased EarthNC Plus hoping to find a chart of West Galveston Bay. For some reason, all of the surrounding bays (and even lakes), and coast are available but I can’t seem to find something for West Galveston Bay. This is a major bay system in TX. I was wondering if there is a way I can get a chart for the area. Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, NOAA has not released a vector ENC chart for this area yet so it is not available via EarthNC Plus. We do have coverage for West Galveston Bay via EarthNC Raster in the Southeast Region DVD.
NOAA is adding 3-6 ENC chart per month which we immediately post to EarthNC Plus in our monthly updates as they become available - so hopefully this area will be released soon.
For those looking to purchase EarthNC Plus, there are a couple of ways to quickly determine availability of Vector (Plus) coverage in your areas of interest:
1. EarthNC Online - if you zoom into your area of interest and see our basic chart data (buoys, markers, lights, etc.), then these areas are also covered in full detail (depths, wrecks, etc.) in EarthNC Plus.
2. The EarthNC Plus Chartlist is a text-based list of all charts available organized by State (Coastal) or River (Inland). This list includes a cross-reference to NOAA RNC chart numbers for the same areas.
